One-day workshop (10am – 4pm), Central London
For many HEIs planning, or already delivering, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, the apprenticeship sector can be difficult to navigate.
HEI’s will need to understand the requirements of the Education and Skills Funding Agency, their relationship with the Agency and employer, and set up appropriate funding, data and quality processes.
This full day briefing workshop will give you a clear overview of the apprenticeship system, how the Education and Skills Funding Agency operates, and what this means for HEIs starting (or already delivering) Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.
The workshop will take you through:
- A birds-eye-view of the apprenticeship system
- What a direct relationship with the Education and Skills Funding Agency looks like for an HEI
- Key funding mechanisms – with the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the employer
- Setting up systems for data collection and compliance
- How higher education and apprenticeship systems can work side-by-side
- Establishing robust quality assurance processes and partnership arrangements
- Case study examples of HEIs who have set up effective apprenticeship systems and processes
Who this briefing workshop is for?
For those looking to have a greater understanding of the apprenticeship system, how it works and its implications for HEIs starting (or already delivering) apprenticeships. This, for example, may include senior managers, mid-level managers or operational staff from Universities, FE Colleges and apprenticeship training providers.
Facilitators and speakers
The workshop will be facilitated by Mandy Crawford-Lee and Rebecca Rhodes – SDN and UVAC experts in Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and the reforms. Both held senior roles in the Education and Skills Funding Agency for many years.
Why an SDN/UVAC workshop?
SDN and UVAC are leading experts in the apprenticeship reforms having supported and advised hundreds of apprenticeship organisations across the country. They have been involved with employer groups developing standards and assessment plans including the first Degree Apprenticeships and were instrumental in the original piloting of Higher Apprenticeships
Where it is not possible for your organisation to pay for the workshop using a credit card, we are happy to accept invoices. Please make contact using the contact details below to arrange this.
