We are proud founders of The Quality Professionals Awards, which has quickly established itself as a beacon of excellence and a major event for the FE and employability sectors.

This role sits within a small marketing team that delivers effective marketing communications and campaigns across the group.

You’ll be joining SDN Mesma Group at an exciting time, as we launch a new long-term strategic plan and refreshed brand in the second half of 2026.

Main duties and responsibilities

You’ll help us plan, develop and deliver marketing communications for current and prospective customers and stakeholders across multiple channels.

You’ll contribute to campaign planning, delivery and analysis, helping us turn insight into clear, engaging activity.

This is a hands-on, creative role requiring excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

As part of a small team, you’ll work across different products and services, with a particular focus on promoting the Mesma software platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Use digital and traditional marketing channels effectively, including the website, email, social media and print.
  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance data, using insights from digital and offline activity to inform decision making.
  • Develop communications that enhance the customer experience and contribute to our revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Help ensure brand consistency across communications and collateral.
  • Stay informed about market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Assist with internal communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • A creative thinker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • A collaborative team player who is self-driven and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Someone who values inclusivity, ethics and professionalism in all aspects of their work.
  • Someone who is open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a marketing or communications role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of digital marketing platforms, social media, email marketing and CMS tools.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
  • Confident using analytics tools to evaluate marketing performance and make data-led decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in marketing within a SaaS or professional services organisation.
  • Experience working with HubSpot CRM, Marketing Hub and WordPress.
  • Understanding of the education, skills or quality assurance sectors.
  • Creating marketing assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

What we offer

  • Remote working with regular in-person collaboration in the North East of England.
  • A supportive, inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression.
  • The chance to make a tangible impact in a purpose-led organisation driving change in education and training.

IMPORTANT: This position is open only to candidates who have the right to work in the UK and are based in the UK. Applications from candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be progressed.
