Many educators leave contextualising maths and English training inspired — but translating the principles into everyday planning can still feel challenging.
This interactive 90-minute webinar builds on your existing knowledge on contextualising maths and English and takes you to the next stage of practice: designing contextualised maths and English opportunities quickly, confidently and meaningfully using AI tools and structured planning approaches.
Drawing on practical work with providers, the session demonstrates how AI can support educators to identify naturally occurring maths and English within vocational delivery and generate meaningful learning activities that build apprentice confidence.
Rather than replacing professional judgement, AI becomes a thinking partner that helps tutors move from theory to practical curriculum design.
The session will focus on practical examples, collaborative activities and live demonstrations so participants leave with ideas they can immediately apply in their own programmes.
Participants will:
- Revisit the key principles of contextualising maths and English
- Explore how AI tools can support contextualised curriculum planning
- Identify naturally occurring maths and English opportunities within vocational programmes
- Use structured prompts to generate contextualised activities and questions
- Strengthen the link between intent, implementation and impact when embedding maths and English
- Explore simple strategies for using AI to support lesson planning, questioning and learner engagement
What makes this session different
This session focuses on practical implementation rather than theory, showing how AI tools can help educators:
- generate contextualised examples
- develop realistic workplace scenarios
- design meaningful learner activities
- reduce planning time while improving relevance
Participants will also receive a simple AI prompt guide and contextualising checklist that can be used to support future lesson and programme planning.
